Away from mass tourism in summer, yet just a few kilometers from the sea, Il Camp Badia San Michele is the ideal place to spend peaceful evenings after intense days at the beach or to discover the beauty of the surrounding area. You can park or pitch your tent wherever you like – it's up to you to find the perfect spot! If you're looking for a shady place instead, you can pitch your tent in the nearby pine forest. We are a small farm with twenty thousand square meters of parkland nestled among olive trees, fruit trees, flowers, and vegetables, and there's also a small, cool pine forest where you can read a book or relax in quiet conversation. Our farm animals will keep you company: cats, chickens, rabbits, turtles... as well as the natural fauna: owls, barn owls, goldfinches, hoopoes, magpies, bee-eaters... Excellently located for visiting Gallipoli, Nardò, Galatina, Parabita, as well as the Ionian and Adriatic coasts. A 130-meter deep artesian well ensures water supply even in the hottest months. Our unique feature is that we guarantee you privacy, relaxation, and our presence for any questions you may have. You can admire breathtaking sunsets, starry skies, the flight of barn owls, fireflies, and the song of cicadas from dawn to dusk, making way for crickets and rabbits. Our stay at Daniela's farm was a real highlight of our trip. We've never seen such a lovingly maintained farm anywhere else. So much attention to detail, coupled with wonderful hospitality from Daniela and her family. Free choice of pitch and a super clean bathroom that lacked nothing. To top it all off, a plate of homemade tiramisu was brought to our camper in the evening, just in time for the wonderful sunset. Such a peaceful place where your heart just opens up (yes, the cats contributed to that too 😃). We recommend Daniela's farm 1000% and will definitely come back again. Wonderful and beautiful place to relax! Ideal starting point for a bike tour to Gallipoli. Daniela and her family are very friendly hosts. It's a shame our three days went by so quickly. By the way, you can get there easily with a Fiat Ducato, even if the road is a bit narrow.

Daniela is truly one of the kindest, most generous and attentive people we have ever met. She and her family have welcomed us with open arms in a little paradise. Everything is taken care of, al facilities that you need are there (very clean) and more. The pine forest where we set up our tent felt like an oasis of tranquility. We enjoyed our stay so much we wanted to stay even longer. Also, they have the sweetest cats! Five stars doesn’t remotely do the stay we had justice.

It was super nice, everything perfect! Daniela and her family are super hosts and everything was prepared with love. The shower and toilet were clean and their whole property is simply beautiful. Highly recommended!

Daniela is a super friendly, empathetic, and generous host! We felt incredibly welcome and valued from the very beginning. The camp is pure nature – meadows, trees, chickens, and cats, endless space to relax and enjoy. Wonderful!!! Some historic Trulli (in Salento: Lamie) create a romantic atmosphere at sunset. The access road is narrow but manageable with a VW bus. There's drinking water, electricity; we didn't need the shower and toilet. Daniela sells olive oil, eggs, and wine. We also received fresh strawberries and a bouquet of flowers, and had very pleasant conversations, even though my Italian isn't really good enough for proper communication. Daniela's son speaks English. We would come back immediately and 100% recommend this camp! Thank you!!!
