Your camp is nestled in the idyllic Jaunbach Valley between Im Fang and Jaun, embraced by forests and meadows. A small stream gurgles below your camp, and the Jaunbach river is just 70 meters away. In 2023, our camp was recognized by Nomady as one of the best-rated camps! The camp is situated above the Charmey-Jaun hiking trail. In Jaun, the bizarre Gastlosen peaks, the untouched Brecca Gorge, and high-altitude hikes towards Schwarzsee invite you to explore on foot or by bike. Charmey also shines with its idyllic mountain landscapes, an adventure park for climbing and sliding, and delightful culinary experiences. Access is via a bridge only 2.60m wide, and the last few meters to the alpine hut are relatively steep.

Ich bin Tobias, wohne in Jaun und bin Landwirt. Wir haben um die 30 Milchkühe und die produzierte Milch wird in der Dorfkäserei verkäst. Den Sommer verbringen die Kühe auf den Alpweiden auf 1500 MüM. und fressen die feinen Alpkräuter und Blumen. Kein Wunder ist die Milch so wertvoll und der Gruyère AOP und Vacherin Fribourgois AOP-Käse so würzig und einzigartig.

The cutoff is the latest check-in time of this spot — not midnight. Cancellations apply to the entire booking including extra products. Partial cancellations are not possible. Tolle Lage mitten in der Natur. Tobias und sein Vater haben uns sehr freundlich empfangen. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in Jaun sind über einen schönen Wanderweg am Fluss entlang gut zu erreichen. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

We really liked the cozy spot. Away from the daily grind to enjoy some peace and quiet. Thanks to Tobias for the friendly hospitality.
Ganz schön gelegen, leicht über den Tal thronend. Netter gespächiger Gastgeber. Aber etwas teuer für das was man bekommt. An anderen Orten gibts für das Geld einen Camping mit Dusche, richtigem WC und Leitungswasser. Aber wenn einem ein naturnaher Platz für sich alleine was Wert ist, passt das hier.

Everything was great, tip-top. Many thanks. The only thing is that the location near the main road is quite close and clearly audible, which was a bit unexpected for us based on the description.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the beautifully located pitch, surrounded by cows, goats, and two donkeys. The pitch is quietly situated, and the cool spring water from the well is very refreshing. The only downside is that the walk to the toilet is a bit far, especially at night ;-). Dear Tobias, thank you for the warm welcome, we would love to come back.
