The medieval and only moated castle in the canton of Lucerne, "Schloss Wyher" from 1302, is located just outside the village of Ettiswil and is very easily accessible. Enjoy the tranquility of the Lucerne hinterland between Sursee and Willisau. Ideally situated for a stopover or for pure castle romance. From Wyher moated castle, there are numerous exciting day trips such as the "Buchwald" nature reserve (directly opposite), the idyllic town of Willisau, or the nearby Napf region with magnificent panoramic views. Hiking or cycling tours can be comfortably started directly from Wyher moated castle. You are welcome to park your van/camper in our spacious parking lot. The castle garden and/or lily pond (subject to availability) will be made available to our Nomady guests with a table, chairs, and lounge for eating, drinking, relaxing, and simply "sunbathing." Note for tents: The exact location must be arranged with the host. However, we do have a beautiful spot for it.

We had a wonderful 2-night stay with our tent at the moated castle. The frog concert was incredibly enjoyable. Using the garden was a dream. No events took place at the castle during our stay, so it was very cozy and quiet. Roger welcomed us courteously and provided us with many tips for exploring the surroundings. We would love to come back.

Even though Roger had an event at the castle and was looking after many guests, he took the time to greet us very warmly. We learned a lot about the castle and its owners. We enjoyed the castle garden and were delighted by the singing of the birds and the croaking of the frogs. It's a very beautiful place. We are happy to recommend it.
