Our pitch is nestled on a beautiful high plateau, surrounded by meadows and forests – the perfect spot for a nature retreat. Leimenhof was built in 1996 and has been managed for over 25 years as a joint venture by the Gass and Ritter families. Transparent and nature-oriented farming is at the heart of what we do. In the Sissach region, you'll discover a wealth of medieval castles and fortresses. Notable examples include Farnsburg with its imposing shield wall, or Homburg. The diverse Jura landscape and well-preserved, idyllic former farming villages make the district a paradise for hikers and bikers. But connoisseurs will also find their bliss, whether with local wine or breathtaking sunsets against the Jura panorama. An ideal spot for a spectacular 360-degree panoramic view is the Wisenberg, at exactly 1001 meters above sea level, the easternmost 'thousand-meter' peak of the Jura massif. Our own produced products, such as Wagyu beef, chickpeas, lentils, or rapeseed oil, can be purchased directly.
