Nestled within a vast forest area, offering views over the regional hills, you'll experience the magic of this place. Come here to unwind and relax, or get active and explore nature. This spot stands out from many others due to its exceptionally beautiful location. Here, you'll often spot abundant wildlife from your pitch in the late evening or early morning. A true highlight is the annual red deer rut (September 20th - October 20th), as all pitches are located directly by the meadows near the large forest. If you want to experience the 'King of the Forest' up close, you have an excellent chance here. The impressive roaring of the stags can be heard for miles in good weather. The deer even come right up to your motorhome at night... Our current infrastructure for camping guests includes: - A dishwashing kitchen with a small shop (regional products) - A toilet with a washbasin - An outdoor shower (hot and cold water) - A washing machine In the dishwashing kitchen, you'll find power outlets for connecting your camper. You can also refill your fresh water tank from here. We do not offer grey and black water disposal (however, there is a disposal station 10 km away where you can dispose of waste for a fee of €2. This station is located by a beautiful 30m high observation tower, which is also worth a detour). The village of Oberdalmerscheid in the municipality of Hellenthal comprises only 7 houses (hardly any light pollution), so you can see the Milky Way on clear nights. Yet, the surrounding region is far from sleepy. The well-signposted hiking and mountain biking routes in the immediate vicinity are very popular.
