The old milking parlor is a relic from GDR times, accessible via a paved track. It's nestled on the hillside above the village of Friedebach. You can simply park your vehicle on the paved area in front of the hall, or find a spot for yourself on the 70,000 sqm property, either at the edge of the forest or in the meadow. It's perfect for autonomous overnight stays. In case of bad weather, and if the space is free, you are welcome to use the milking parlor itself. Grilling, campfires, music... absolutely no problem here! Friedebach is perfectly situated for day trips. Whether you want to visit Jena, the Thuringian Sea, or the Rennsteig trail. Or simply start exploring right from your doorstep – into the Uhlstädter Heide, where you'll also find an amazing nature project! This is the Forest-Pasture Project, where 17 cattle (aurochs) now live on 577 hectares. Very nice view. No reception. Unfortunately, the fire pit was unusable as it was completely full of trash. We had our own with us. However, if someone wants complete peace and quiet and to be self-sufficient, it's great. The shelter in the milking parlor was no longer available.

Very accommodating, friendly host and a quietly located spot with massive potential and a magnificent distant view. The lack of reception was very welcome to us. We will definitely come again!
