Nestled at over 1000m on the reverse side of Chasseral, 'Métairie Clémesin' is a former alpine hut now transformed into a rustic restaurant. It's a hidden gem for hikers, connoisseurs of local terroir dishes, and nature lovers alike. From here, you'll revel in a magnificent view of the Val-de-Ruz and can embark on a 'Chemin Chouette' hike directly from your camp. The Chaumont adventure park is just 15 minutes away! Your camp is located in the parking area of the 'Métairie Clémesin' alpine restaurant. Therefore, it can get lively on weekends, public holidays, and during good weather. Tip for those seeking tranquility: The Métairie is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Upon request, you can use one of the two wooden tables and soak in the breathtaking valley views. The unique tree-lined landscape of Val-de-Ruz was honored by the SLFP (Swiss Landscape Protection Foundation) as 'Landscape of the Year 2022'.

Je gère la Métairie ensemble avec mes parents Claude-Alain et Catherine. C'est elle qui est aux fourneaux de la Métairie. La philosophie de l’établissement est de servir à ses clients une cuisine traditionnelle et du terroir avec des produits suisses et de qualité. Tout ceci dans une ambiance conviviale et chaleureuse.

A wonderful, secluded, and quiet place. Flat, spacious pitch. The accompanying restaurant is highly recommended. We ate very well. Very friendly operators. We felt very comfortable. Many thanks for the spot.

Accueil très sympa, nous étions seuls, donc, les sanitaires minimalistes n’étaient pas un souci. Nous y retournerons, l’endroit est parfait pour le vélo.

Endroit très chouette emplacement top ...le restaurant très bon, les produits au top .Par contre juste un toilette lavabo et rustique...Mais pour le prix c est a améliorer soit le prix plus bas, soit des vrais sanitaire,douche .Sinon tout le reste sympa

We were personally and very kindly welcomed and even received a fire pit with wood for a lovely evening. The spot has everything for a great stopover with a beautiful view. The neighbor's dog was immediately sent back to the yard and didn't return until we left. The understanding was immediate.

Beautiful, quiet, and secluded location with a relatively flat parking area. We enjoyed it very much.

Nice, quiet spot with a view. At night you hear nothing but the bells of the sheep and goats grazing on the opposite meadow. Toilet, sink, and electricity are available, housed in a container – practical, but not very appealing. We didn't visit the restaurant as it was closed (Wednesday).

Simple, beautifully located, quiet spot (Maybe it could get a bit crowded if there are more restaurant guests?). Also had electricity (wasn't listed as a service). Friendly, uncomplicated host. Everything in the restaurant is freshly prepared. I didn't even bother to use my own stove there.
