Camp Mattli-Ahorn is nestled at 1025m above sea level, above the fog line, in the municipality of Alpthal near Einsiedeln. It's perfectly situated directly on the Alpthal-Rothenthurm biker route and the Alpthal-Haggenegg hiking trail. This idyllic spot, shaded by an old, towering maple tree, offers a cozy fire pit with wooden stools, a small wood supply (1 crate) available for free, a table with benches, a compost toilet, and 10 liters of fresh drinking water upon request. The access road and parking area are graveled and level. A small stream flows alongside the camp, and the slightly larger Vogelwaldbach is just 50m away, inviting you to splash and cool off in the summer. The Brunni-Holzgegg valley station and the Mythen region's hiking and biking area are only 4.5 km from the camp. The bus stop is a convenient 5-minute walk away. Please note: Bookings for more than 4 people and more than 1 vehicle will not be accepted.

Sehr schöner Stellplatz. Haltet was er verspricht. Sehr schöne Aussicht und ruhig. Haben 2 Nächte mit unserem Hund auf dem Platz verbracht und eine tolle Wanderung gemacht. Nicole und Sepp sind sehr freundliche und herzliche Gastgeber. Alles top. Kommen gerne wieder. Herzlichen Dank.

Platz haltet definitiv was er verspricht. Nicole war sehr herzlich und hat uns noch kurz begrüsst. Wir hatten ein ruhiges gemütliches Wochenende. Vielen Dank.

Einfach ein wunderschöner Ort – ein echtes Bijou! Wir hatten, trotz Gewitter, eine herrliche kleine Auszeit bei Nicole und Sepp. Die beiden sind genau die Art von Gastgebern, die man sich wünscht: freundlich, aufmerksam und doch angenehm zurückhaltend. Ein nettes Halllo – man fühlt sich aufgehoben - und danach die Freiheit, einfach anzukommen und abzuschalten. Fazit: Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder :)

Ich weiss gar nicht wie oft ich inzwischen auf diesem Platz war….er ist so toll, die Gastgeber sehr herzlich, man fühlt sich einfach wohl. Immer wieder komme ich gerne 😊

Fantastic, quiet spot! We stayed for 1 night with our dog. The spot was very safe and the entry and parking was nice firm, dry stones. The picnic table area and the private toilet was very good. There is a nice stream across the road for dogs to splash around d and cool off in the hot months :)
