Herzen Farm - Paradies im Ahrtal

Trotz eines anfänglich etwas holprigen Starts bei der Buchung sind wir schließlich sehr froh gewesen, den Stellplatz gewählt zu haben! Zunächst sehr unscheinbar, entpuppte sich der Garten von Mareike als kleine, grün und natürlich gehaltene Oase. Ein kleiner Stellplatz für einen Van ist vorhanden, und ansonsten ist der Platz optimal zum Zelten, wenn man dann die ein oder andere ebene Stelle dafür gefunden hat! 🏕️

Great location, good communication, nice fire pit.

Herzen Farm was, without a doubt, the most beautiful place we stayed during our 5-day cycling tour. Unfortunately, it's located very high up, so the journey there was quite strenuous – but worth it. The place is secluded and quiet, and above all, lush green. The facilities ("Chill Lounge", toilet, fire pit) integrate beautifully into this environment. Unfortunately, there are no chickens on site at the moment, but Mareike did inform us of this before booking. Overall, communication with the operators was very pleasant, so I can easily recommend this spot. However, large groups should be careful. We pitched our 2-person tent in the lower part and had to experiment a bit to find a spot and orientation where no roots protruded from the ground that could damage the tent floor. In our case, it was manageable, but it could be difficult with a large tent.

Mareike is a really nice contact; communication was quick and smooth. The spot is truly great... just right for real nature lovers who also enjoy crowing with the roosters at 4 AM. We really enjoyed our spontaneous stay and would love to come back. Thanks and best regards!

Close to nature, rustic, everything essential is there, if you have fresh water with you. Communication works great and Mareike is very friendly. If you're looking for peace and quiet and enjoy sitting by a campfire, this is exactly the right place.
